Itinerary: Milan, Venice, Florence, Pisa, Assisi, Pompeii, Capri, Rome

Description: We begin our visit to Italy with a gondola ride through the canals of Venice, a major financial and maritime power during the Middle Ages and Renaissance. We’ll further explore this city via a scavenger hunt! In Florence – the birthplace of the Renaissance - we’ll stroll through the streets in the shadow of the Duomo, enjoy gelato in the Piazza della Signoria, and window shop on the Ponte Vecchio. We’ll snap a picture of ourselves with the 12th-century Leaning Tower of Pisa as the backdrop, get our exercise on the steep hills of Assisi (and take a breather at the Basilica of St. Francis), bear witness to the remains of the once beautiful Roman city of Pompeii, enjoy stunning views of the Amalfi coastline as we ferry across the Bay of Naples to Capri, and close our visit to Italy with a full day exploring all that Rome has to offer. Whew!

This trip is open to students who, at the time of the trip, are in grades 7 or 8 (you may register before then using the links below).
