Requirements Grade
Requirements Students
must receive a final course grade of 80 or better in
each course with the exception of one allowable grade
between 70-79 each year. Score
Requirements Students
must achieve a minimum cumulative score of 1300 on the
Verbal and Math sections of the SAT Reasoning
Test. Students
must achieve a minimum score of 600 on four SAT
Subject Tests, to be balanced between Math/Science and
English/History/Foreign Language. Extracurricular
Requirements Students
must participate in at least two after-school
activities each year. Students
must commit to one activity for at least three
years.
The Honors Program
at Attleboro High School improves academic achievement
and college marketability for our most motivated
students. Participation in the Honors Program will be
noted on the school transcript and a program description
will be included in the school profile that is sent to
colleges. Successful completion of the program earns the
Honors Diploma.
English I H,
English II H, English III H or AP, and English IV H or
AP
Students must
maintain a weighted GPA of 90.
Students must
achieve a minimum grade of 3 on the AP tests for
courses taken in their junior year.
Students must
complete 40 certified hours of community
service.
Although the Honors Program is designed as a
comprehensive four-year program, accommodations will be
made for all students who wish to transfer in by the
start of their junior year.
