The Career and Technical Programs provide long-term, structured courses of study in technical areas. These courses are for everyone, college bound or not.
Presently, 70% of CTE graduates attend Colleges or Post-Secondary Training.
All of the technical programs at AHS will dovetail with higher education in the same or related academic areas. The Career and Technical Programs are technically demanding, yet fun and interesting because of their active, project-based approach.
All CTE programs are designed in three levels: Level 1 (sophmores), Level 2 (juniors), Level 3 (seniors).
Each of these programs has a possiblity of a Cooperative Education (CO-OP) placement during the senior year. Also, a CTE Senior Project is a requirement for program completion. If the student meets all requirements to complete the program, at graduation the student will receive a CTE Certificate in addition to their High School diploma.
