Medical Requirements

The Attleboro Publics Schools adhere to Massachusetts Regulations, 105 CMR 200.000 & 220.000 which require a Physical Examination and up-to-date Immunizations prior to school entry.

Massachusetts School Immunization Requirements

All students: Seasonal influenza vaccine for the current flu season must be received annually by December 31st. New students entering the district between January 1st and March 31st must have received a dose for the current flu season prior to entry. Prior to Kindergarten and/or Upon Entry to Attleboro Public Schools 5 doses of DPT

4 doses of Polio

2 doses of MMR 2 doses of Varicella or history of chickenpox 

3 doses of Hepatitis B

1 Lead Test (prior to Kindergarten only) Prior to Grade 7: 1 dose of Tdap

1 dose of MenACWY Prior to Grade 11:

1 booster dose of MenACWY after age 16y

Physical Examination (PE)

All Physical Examinations must be performed by a Licensed Medical Physician, a Physician’s Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner practicing under the provisions of existing state law.

Attleboro Public School PE Requirements: Upon Entry to Attleboro Public Schools Prior to:
Pre K Kindergarten Grade 5 Grade 9
Annually for High School Sports
