PARENTS AS TEACHERS (PAT)

The Parents As Teachers program believes that parents are their children's first and most important teacher.  By participating in Parents As Teachers, parents are supported by certified parent educators.  Our parent educators have received training in child development and use the "born to Learn" curriculum.

Components of Parents As Teachers include:

v     Monthly personal visits focusing on child development

pre-birth through 3 years

v     Developmental screening that asses overall development,

including health, vision and hearing

v     Information on appropriate activities, books and toys to

promote learning

v     Connecting families to other available community resources

Parents As Teachers is free to Attleboro residents pre-birth to 3 years.
