Medical Requirements

The Attleboro Publics Schools adhere to Massachusetts Regulations, 105 CMR 200.000 & 220.000 which require a Physical Examination and up-to-date Immunizations prior to school entry.

Massachusetts School Immunization Requirements

*ALL students must receive Seasonal influenza (Flu) vaccine annually for the current flu season by December 31st. New students entering the district between January 1st and March 31st must have received a dose for the current flu season prior to entry.
Preschool: 1-4 doses of Hib 4 doses of DTaP 3 doses of Polio 3 doses of Hepatitis B 1 dose of MMR 1 dose of Varicella
Kindergarten and/or Upon Entry to Attleboro Public Schools
5 doses of DTaP

4 doses of Polio

2 doses of MMR 2 doses of Varicella or history of chickenpox 

3 doses of Hepatitis B

1 Lead Test (prior to Kindergarten only)
Prior to Grade 7: 1 dose of Tdap

1 dose of MenACWY
Prior to Grade 11:

2nd dose of dose of MenACWY (on or after 16th birthday)

Physical Examination (PE)

All Physical Examinations must be performed by a Licensed Medical Physician, a Physician’s Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner practicing under the provisions of existing state law.  PE required:

Prior to:
Pre K Kindergarten Grade 5 Grade 9
Upon entry to Attleboro Public Schools
Annually for High School Sports

*Parents/guardians with insufficient or no health insurance are asked to contact the school nurse.
