What is the purpose of the PD Pathway? (August 28 and November 7, 2023)
The Pathways were created to meet the instructional needs of staff in different grade levels, across content areas with various areas of expertise. With that in mind, the Pathways with specific courses were developed for staff to complete within two days.
Can you enroll for more than one session?
No, please only register for one session to be sure that everyone is able to enroll in a session. If you need to cancel your selection for any reason, click here for instructions.
Can you switch Pathway Courses mid way through the sessions?
No, the idea of the course is to have staff remain in one to receive PDPs in that particular Pathway/course, and connect the information learned to professional goals.
What if a course is full?
If a course is full, the system will place you on a waitlist. Please proceed as follows:
Register for your second choice to secure a professional development course.
If withdrawn from the waitlist and placed in your first choice, be sure to remove your name from the second choice.
Will the objectives for ELL/Special Ed be worded to qualify for state requirements?
Specific courses have been offered that allow for these requirements to be met.
Please read the descriptions for each course offered in the Pathway.
What will specialists such as Speech Language Pathologists and Physical and Occupational Therapists do for their Pathway next year?
There are course offerings for all related service providers. The Special Education Dept. may create other offerings specific to the professional needs of the related service providers over the course of the year.
What is available for paraprofessionals?
All paraprofessionals can select from a paraprofessional pathway that will offer sessions on a variety of topics or a pathway that corresponds to your specific role in the district.
