An incident that results in numerous casualties requiring a coordinated, large scale emergency response from multiple agencies.
Examples
A gas line explodes in the building injuring tens of students.
Alert Signal
Announcements will be made with instructions on what to do.
Staff Responsibility
If it is safe to do so, follow the evacuation protocol.
If it isn’t safe to do so, follow the shelter in place protocol.
Student Responsibility
Listen to the adults instructions
Post Communication
An announcement will be made when it is over (if in shelter in place)
An announcement will be made by administration
