Purpose/Reason
A heightened state of awareness and security when there is a hazard outside of the building. The school day continues as normal inside.
Examples
Animal control, police activity in surrounding neighborhoods
Alert Signal
No announcement will be made. The office will be made aware and on alert.
Staff Responsibility
Continue business as usual inside the building.
Student Responsibility
Continue business as usual inside the building.
Students and staff can go to lunch, move to other classes
Students and staff can use the bathroom.
Students should never open the outside doors for anyone.
Post Communication
Administration will determine if it is worthy of informing the staff
