Portrait of a Graduate
The Portrait of a Graduate serves as a foundation for curriculum development across all grade levels. By aligning instruction with the PoG priorities of Innovation, Communication, Collaboration, and Balance, we ensure that students are not only meeting academic standards but also building the skills and mindsets needed for success beyond the classroom.

To help families better understand the standards that guide teaching and learning in the Attleboro Public Schools, we are pleased to share these grade-level family guides developed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. These guides highlight the key learning goals in each core subject area and describe what students are expected to know and be able to do by the end of each grade.
The high school guide provides a broader look at learning across the four-year experience, rather than grade by grade. Each guide also includes conversation starters that families can use to talk with students about what they are learning in school.
If you have questions about a specific topic or lesson, we encourage you to reach out to your child’s teacher or school principal.
